How can Industrial Large Fans Reduce Energy Loss?

yellow seperator

Today, I will mainly share with you the composition of energy loss in the use of industrial large fan motors, focusing on how to reduce the mechanical loss of the motor during operation, so that industrial large fans can achieve the purpose of energy-saving and high efficiency.

The composition of motor energy loss:

(1) Copper loss: stator copper loss; rotor copper loss; stray loss.

(2) Iron loss.

(3) Mechanical loss: ventilation loss; friction loss.

From the energy loss of industrial large fans motors listed above, copper loss and iron loss are not easy to change during maintenance. They are determined by design and can change mechanical loss. Generally, a motor with a small number of stages and a high speed has greater mechanical loss and lower copper loss. However, motors with a large number of stages and low speeds account for a larger proportion of copper losses than mechanical losses. Therefore, if you want to reduce the energy loss of the motor, you must start with reducing the mechanical loss of the motor.

In the past ventilation plan, we often decided which product and quantity to use based on the number of air changes in the space. In a small space, using a traditional fan, you can see the steam that is quickly discharged to the outside of the house when the fan is working. But in a wide enclosed space, this kind of ventilation effect is not obvious. Usually, most of the smoke, carbon dioxide, and particulate matter will gather at the bottom of the building. Industrial fans will play a role in ventilation and air purification in all corners, thereby improving the air quality in the workshop and ensuring the staff a healthy, dry, and safe working environment.
